Microsoft has introduced a free cross platform multiplayer gaming service called Games for Windows - Live, allowing Windows gamers to play against XBOX players and vice versa. With Games for Windows – LIVE, you get an online identity – called a gamertag – and a friends list that works across multiple games and platforms including Windows XP/Vista, XBOX 360, and Zune.
You can play multiplayer games with your friends, or play against new opponents online using the TrueSkill matchmaking system with other Windows players or with or against XBOX 360 players (in supported games).
Games for Windows – LIVE lets you add achievements and gamerscore earned in Windows games to your XBOX LIVE account. You can also chat and message your friends on LIVE, regardless of the platform via text and voice chat and earn achievements and Gamerscore that lets you track and compare your accomplishments.
Games for Windows games are tested to support wide-screen monitors, 64-bit operating systems, parental controls, and, in appropriate games, the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. Soon, you will be able to download additional content for your favorite games, from game trailers to playable demos to new maps and levels.
You can experience cross-platform gameplay with the following games: Universe at War, Lost Planet: Colonies, Gears of War, Shadowrun and more.

Creations.net has posted an unofficial tutorial on how to tether your Apple iPhone 3G as a wireless modem and use its 3G, EDGE or GPRS internet connection on your Windows or Mac OSX computer.
1) Jailbreak your Apple iPhone 3G. Instructions can be found here.
2) Launch Cydia from your application page and let it self-update
3) Go to Install, All Packages, and find MobileTerminal and 3Proxy. Install both programs and press the Home button. The device will restart and you will find Terminal installed on your home screen. Terminal is a command-line interface (CLI) based utility.
4) Create an ad-hoc WiFi-WLAN network on your notebook. For Windows based PCs, instructions can be found here. For Mac OSX based computers, click here. On your iPhone, join the ad-hoc network. Note down the IP address that is asssigned to your phone.

5) Now start the Terminal program on iPhone, type “socks” and hit Enter to launch the Socks proxy server.
6) Open Safari Mobile browser on iPhone and navigate to any website such as thinkabdul.com
7) Open any web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera) on your desktop computer, and go to the proxy server settings. Enter your iPhone’s IP address into the SOCKS (v5) field, and 1080 as the port number.
Your web browser is ready to use your Apple iPhone’s internet connection.
There is another guide at Dragon Forged to tether your iPhone using a GUI based program called TinyProxy.

HTC had introduced G-Sensor, a hardware enabled accelerometer and motion sensor in Touch Diamond. However, by default, the G-Sensor works with specific software and applications such as Opera Mobile, HTC Photo Album or the Teeter game. HTC also disabled the regular manual screen rotation option while permitting only few predefined applications to run in the landscape mode. Some applications, like E-Mail Inbox or Calendar cannot be used in landscape but portrait mode only.
GSEN allows you to do all that and more. It can automatically rotate any application from portrait to landscape mode and vice versa when you tilt and move your mobile device by utilising motion sensing via the hardware accelerometer.
Other options in GSEN for Windows Mobile include:
+ Select applications that need to be excluded from being rotated
+ Select only those programs which need to be rotated while excluding others
+ Switch off the screen if you put down the device with its screen on the bottom.
